Legal clinics

Born from the American experience of “critical legal studies”, the legal clinic starts from the idea that students, already during their university training, should have the opportunity not only to learn legal knowledge but also to get in touch with the aspects relating to the concrete application of the law, both from the cognitive and methodological point of view and from the point of view of the exercise of the legal professions. In the clinic, students learn through direct experience, dealing with real people who need legal assistance. In this training course, students are guided by university teachers and external professionals.

In the month of May and June a legal clinic was held at the University of Milan Bicocca concerning the protection of bears and related legal actions which saw as professor members of the Lav (Massimo Vitturi responsible for the wild animal area and Simone Stefani Vice President Lav and Claudio Linzola of the Milan bar who assists Lav in some legal disputes on this issue) coordinated by Prof. Diana Cerini, full professor of Comparative Private Law at the University of Milan Bicocca.
